Future Economy Collective is hosting important trainings and discussions in the coming weeks to support the longevity of our organization. All current and former volunteers are encouraged to attend!
Boundary Setting Training: Tuesday, April 14th, 5:45pm-7:15pm, in person at the FEC space and over Google meet, found at this link. This training will focus on establishing and enforcing boundaries.
Volunteer Meeting: Sunday, April 19th, 3:30pm-5pm We invite all current and former volunteers to join us at the FEC space to create agreements on the scope of the organization, operating procedures, values statement, and volunteer guidance. FEC is working hard on improving our operations, and we need YOUR engagement to help run this community organization.
Community Resiliency Model Training: Tuesday, May 12th, time TBD. Learn about the body’s natural rhythms through stress and release, and gain shareable language and skills that the group can use to support one another through those cycles. The Community Resiliency Model trains groups around the globe following activating events to support the group’s return to balance and increase our resiliency in the midst of chronic stress. For the second part of the session, we will explore how sharing a no with someone can actually be protective and lead to a better, more sustainable and fitting, YES.

Support our efforts
All monetary donations support our day-to-day operations or are invested directly back into the community through our free fridge and mutual aid distros. Everyone at FEC is a volunteer, so no donations go towards salaries. Please consider making one-time or recurring donations through Zeffy (preferred), Patreon, or Paypal.
The Community Fridge and Pantry behind Ukirk Presbyterian Campus Ministry at 305 Washington Street SW in Blacksburg are always open for donations. Make sure to include a full ingredients list on any home-made items, and write the date you added them to the fridge.

Future Economy Collective is a grassroots, community-based, all-volunteer-run, certified 501c3 based in southwest Virginia’s New River Valley.
