Upcoming events:
Yard Sale: Saturday August 15th, 9am-4pm at the FEC space, 700 N. Main St, Suite E, Blacksburg. Rugs, art/office supplies, art, lots of chairs, a table and TV unit, electronics, books, and more! Come to our donation-based, pay-what-you-can indoor yard sale and help us downsize. We are also looking for a few volunteers to help chat with folks during this event. If you are interested in helping out for all or part of the time, please reach out! All funds go directly towards supporting the Free Fridge.
Mutual Aid Distro: Sunday August 16th. Sort materials from 1pm-1:45pm at the FEC space, then distribute supplies from 2pm-3pm behind the North Main Laundromat at 1003 N. Main St, Blacksburg. Anyone can take what they need and leave what they can.
Volunteer Workday: Sunday August 23rd, 2pm-5pm at the FEC Space, 700 N Main St, suite E, Blacksburg. Volunteers needed to transport items to our storage unit and to the YMCA thrift store. Come hang out for all or part of the time! Doughnuts, coffee, and snacks provided!

Simply sign in to your account then go to kroger.com/account/communityrewards. If you are using the app, go to "Rewards" then "Community Rewards." Search for "NH184" or "Future Economy Collective" and enroll.
Support our efforts
All monetary donations support our day-to-day operations or are invested directly back into the community through our free fridge and mutual aid distros. Everyone at FEC is a volunteer, so no donations go towards salaries. Please consider making one-time or recurring donations through Zeffy (preferred), Patreon, or Paypal.
The Community Fridge and Pantry behind Ukirk Presbyterian Campus Ministry at 305 Washington Street SW in Blacksburg are always open for donations. Needed items include fresh or frozen staples like milk, eggs, frozen fruit/veggies, and non-perishable foods such as peanut butter, canned protein, pasta, and baby food. Make sure to include a full ingredients list on any home-made items, and write the date you added them to the fridge.
Future Economy Collective is a grassroots, community-based, all-volunteer-run, certified 501c3 based in southwest Virginia’s New River Valley.
